Sunset
Magazine, November 2007
Act II Books and Puppets is mentioned in
the November 2007 issue of Sunset Magazine's article about Langley
Washington. "It takes time to get to idyllic Northwest spots
like Eastsound, Sisters, or Ashland. Next time you long for a
quick getaway, don't go so far: Langley, on Whidbey Island, is
one of the prettiest villages in Cascadia, and it's only about
25 miles and a 15-minute ferry ride from Seattle."
"Act II Books and Puppets The
fanciful shop makes you wish you were 7 again. Paired with finger
puppets, books like the Wind in the Willows come alive -- no
batteries required."
"Getting There - Take the ferry from Mulkilteo north of Seattle
to Clinton on Whidbey Island, then drive on State 525 about 3
miles. Turn north (right) on Langley road to Langley."
Act II Books and Puppets is easy to find
on the main street in town. Stop by the visitor center on Anthes
if you have questions.
Seattle Metropolitan
Magazine, October 2007
Seattle Metropolitan Magazine's October 2007 issue describes a day trip from La
Conner located on the Skagit Bay just west of Mount Vernon and
down Whidbey Island to Langley. "The La Conner and Langley
loop offers rural charms and views along the route that will
have you reaching for the camera." After going to Fidalgo
Island and heading south past Deception pass and onto Whidbey
Island, you will come to Bayview road just south of Freeland.
"...take the Bayview Road exit toward Langley. Follow the
twisting road into downtown Langley. Visit Act II if you have
kids. The store features popular children's books and puppets
to go with them -- think The Ugly Duckling and a beautiful swan."
Act II Books and Puppets has over 100 children's books that we have matched
with Folkmanis puppets that are sold separately.
