The story starts off with "10 fat
turkeys fooling on a fence." One by one as they walk the
fence, swallow a bee, balance bricks, and do other silly tricks,
they dissappear, until there is one. But then you find all 10
turkeys in a tree!

 Folkmanis Turkey Puppet
The Folkmanis
Turkey puppet is 18 inches (45.7
cm) tall and it has a workable mouth. Folkmanis Turkey puppets
have white on the tip of the tail feathers, red neck and brown
body.This new puppet was released July 2007.
The Turkey works like the Peacock
puppet. If you want to use it with one hand, you put your
thumb in the head and your fingers into the '"glove"
part in the tail. Using it this way, you can wave the tail in
an upright fanned postion and move the head through the motion
of your thumb. Alternatively, you can put one or two fingers
of one hand in the head, then cross your other hand over and
put all five fingers into the "glove" part in the tail
at the same time. That way you can raise and lower the tail feathers
to get more expression and movement from the head.
We also have the children's
book "Turkeys Surprise" about two pilgrim boys
sent out to get a turkey for Thanksgiving dinner - but the little
pilgrim can't bring himself to shoot the turkey. A Thanksgiving
story with a happy ending.
